Shawna Dempsey and Lorri Millan are a Canadian performance art duo, who have collaborated on performances, films, videos, publications and public art projects since 1989. Both out lesbians, they collaborate most commonly on performances addressing lesbian and feminist themes in a variety of media, including film, video and live performance poetry. Their most famous works are the music video "We're Talking Vulva" and the performance video "What Does a Lesbian Look Like?."

Shiri Tsur was born in 1968 in Boston, USA and was raised in Israel. She studied in France and is a graduate of the FEMIS film academy in Paris and has a master's degree in philosophy from the Sorbonne University.

Joyan Saunders is a Canadian artist and educator who has taught at the University of California in San Diego, the Nova Scotia College of Art and Design in Halifax, and York University in Toronto. Her videotapes have shown extensively throughout North America and Europe.

Beverly Seckinger graduated from the University of Wyoming in 1981. An independent producer based in Tucson, Arizona, she is also a Professor in the School of Theatre, Film & Television at the University of Arizona, where she teaches courses in media production, documentary studies, and LGBT Studies.
