PARIS INTERNATIONAL
LESBIAN & FEMINIST FILM FESTIVAL
Quand les lesbiennes se font du cinéma
A trio, Tribad was founded in 1999 by Natasha, the singer and saxophonist from the group "Zarmazones", and Ana Cuenca, guitarist, author of a collection of poems called Daytime Notturne, and translator of Monique Wittig's works.
Since 2000 they have been performing all over Europe. From World Pride in Rome to international women's music festivals like "Women in Tune" in Wales and "The Suonate" in Venice, via Belgrade and the Lesbian Spring in Berlin, their popularity knows no borders.
Filled with both love and rage, their sensual trip-hop is an international electro-poetical conspiracy. The lyrics - in French, Italian, English and Spanish - speak of lesbian love and call for rebellion.
