Lisa DONATO

Lisa Donato was born into an Italian-American family of storytellers. After graduating from Montana State University, she channeled her creativity into advertising, producing shoots for commercial marketing campaigns across the country for national brands. Ms. Donato's searing, personal stories have been published in Self, the LA Times, Curve and more. Production and directorial credits include shows for National Geographic Wild, The Oprah Winfrey Network, web series (Crowned), feature documentaries (She Started It) and award-winning short films, Sugarhiccup and Reclaiming Pakistan. Sugarhiccup is the first offering from Ms. Donato’s new production company, Sparkle Motion Films which is a full-production creative agency dedicated to revealing the essence, or sparkle, in every story. Her first feature screenplay about a lesbian Muslim wrestler is going into production in Spring 2016. She will also be releasing two more short films called Spunkle and In Bed.
